“Go For It”, have you ever heard this before?
If you’ve ever listened to or read anything motivational you probably heard this saying.
But the question is, why are so many people making excuses or afraid to take the leap. You may want a raise at your job, start your own business, ask the pretty girl or guy out. Why don’t we do it?
Well, here are 3 things that will give insight to why we don’t take the “go for it” advice and how we can begin taking those steps:
- If you have an impulse to act on any goal, you must physically do something towards that goal within 60 seconds
- Write out your goals and send a group messages to your close friends (the one’s that are actually “doers”)
- Think of worst case scenario if everything went wrong if you did your goal and make a solution to that scenario (I did this when I decided to be an entrepreneur full-time with kids)
The overall theme of why we don’t do things is fear. We are afraid of rejection, pain, loss, etc… Therefore we create these invisible scripts that tell us things will go a certain way when there is no facts proving so.
All in all, don’t live your life in regret “Go For It” 🙂
